Kayamandi Quilt pattern

$10.00

The wall hanging is 32″ x 32″, made of 16 8″ x 8″ blocks. The pattern provides cutting and piecing instructions to make a Kayamandi quilt top, using paper based piecing. All patterns are for personal use only. Kayamandi means “Sweet Home” in Xhosa. The block represents the round huts or “rondavels” typical of traditional homes built in rural settlements in Southern Africa. They can be made of stone, bricks or mud, with a thatched roof.
