It is very symbolic of what we are collectively doing to help our country survive. I think it will be popular with all quilters in my area. I like that there is an option of piecing or applique. Good, simple design.

I loved making this paper pieced pattern! I needed a square 6.5 inch block, so I added 4 narrow borders to achieve that. When the pattern was first released, I made it with traditional piecing and added the suggested side borders, so it would look like the flag. Perfect! All I need to try now is the appliquéd version. It would also be a very cute quilt block with the houses in a variety of colors. A versatile pattern, and fun to make!
