Description
Dewald Compion designed this quilt inspired by the Atlantic Ocean in South Africa, and his Aunt Céleste Compion wrote the pattern in Canada. During the pandemic our creativity has been important to stay afloat mentally during the many “Waves of Infection” so the quilt is named “Tides That Bind” to celebrate of our bonds of quilting kinship.
You can also purchase this pattern from https://www.dewaldkwilts.com/ Take a look at his awesome work!
A third of the proceeds from sales of this pattern will go to the Gift of the Givers Foundation (https://giftofthegivers.org/) in South Africa.

I think the title of the Quilt and part of the proceeds going for donations to a charitable organization in S. Africa are great ideas.

I love the pattern. Well written and illustrated. Required templates for quilt are actual size. Yardage given for wall quilt and 90" x 90" quilt. You can make the quilts in white and indigo shweshwe. Or you can do it scrappy. I will enjoy making this quilt.
